Transsend Platform Update — March 2026

We’ve rolled out updates across the Transsend platform — the Android app, the Transsend Portal, and the Gateway — focused on security, usability and new capabilities.

Transsend Android App

The app has undergone a significant update cycle — SDKs, build tooling, libraries and dependencies have all been brought up to the latest versions, delivering improved performance, a refreshed UI and full compliance with current Google Play requirements.

Login security is a major addition. Administrators can now configure maximum login attempts and lockout duration per account from the Portal. When a user exceeds the limit, their account is automatically locked for the configured period. The Portal displays failed attempt counts, lockout expiry times, and provides a one-click reset — giving admins full visibility and control over mobile account access.

The icon library has been massively expanded and made far easier to use. Previously, adding icons to form fields required manual JSON editing and was limited to a small handful of options. There are now around 60 Material Symbols icons across categories including logistics, temperature, finance, location and more — selectable from a visual dropdown with live preview in the Portal and rendered natively on the device.

Barcode and QR code scanning can now be enabled on any text field with a single toggle.

Transsend Portal

The new visual Extras Editor replaces manual JSON editing for template field configuration. Beyond the expanded icon library, designers can now configure field behaviours — outline mode, scannable, read-only, capitalization, alignment, validation (range, regex, or JavaScript), and dynamic field binding — all through a proper UI with a raw JSON toggle for advanced use.

Account security management now includes configurable Max Login Attempts and Lockout Duration settings on the Security tab, with full lockout status visibility per mobile account.

The template editor also received fixes to the Actions tab Add button, updated build tooling, and improved navigation. New documentation covering Message Flows for multi-user workflows has been added.

Transsend Gateway

Login security enforcement has been added at the Gateway level. The Gateway now tracks failed authentication attempts per mobile account and automatically locks accounts that exceed the configured threshold. Lockouts expire after the admin-configured duration, or can be manually reset from the Portal.

Updated SharePoint handling of files to better align with MS Graph requirements.
