What sort of work is it?
Exodesk looks after the technology other businesses run on. In a given week you might be on the support desk, on site at a client, or building software.
Support
First contact when something stops working. Remote and phone support across every client we look after.
Infrastructure and projects
Servers, networks, migrations, security and cloud work, on site across Canterbury and Otago.
Software
We develop and support our own products, so there is development and implementation work here that most IT services companies do not have.
Who are we looking for?
Our team is growing in both offices. The people who do well here have a strong work history in New Zealand and have dealt directly with business clients before, because a good part of the job is talking to people who are not technical and are having a bad morning.
Beyond that, we look for people who like variety. Clients range from teams of five through to organisations with several hundred staff across multiple sites, and the work changes with them.
- A strong work history in New Zealand. You know how business here operates.
- Experience with business clients. Not just fixing the machine, but dealing with the person using it.
- Comfortable explaining things. Most of our clients are not technical and have no wish to be.
- Happy with variety. A different business and a different problem most days.
